what fern wore #11.

Here's what Fern wore for a play date with her friends Poppy and Alomae... (side note: it's really hard to get a non-blurry photo of a baby on the move!)

cardigan: Old Navy

top (worn as dress): Old Navy

skirt (underneath): Target

tights: Zara

Socks: Old Navy

Boots: Zara

Ummm....apparently Old Navy should just sponsor these Fern fashion posts, because most of her clothes are from there anyway. I always get questions about where I find her clothes and so often that's the answer. The main reason: there's one really close to my house (less than 5 minutes) and I hate going to the mall or small boutiques with a baby. Old Navy has carts and good sales, so they win. The trick is in the styling...finding unique ways to put together the outfit using items of clothing that a bajillion other babies are going to have.

Also, I felt like I should mention in this post that while Fern has a lot of clothes, a great many (read: most) of them are hand-me-downs and gifts. In fact, I didn't buy a single thing she's wearing today. All of these items were gifts from her grandmas. I just didn't want everyone to think I go crazy and spend tons of money all the time, because I don't. I realize that it really wouldn't be anyone's business anyway, but I just thought it was worth noting.
