baby's first christmas 20 second diy ornament.

By now you probably know that when you see the word "DIY" on this blog, it's probably being used very loosely and this DIY is no exception.

Sometimes I'm hesitant to even share my DIY projects, because they really are just that simple (see examples: here, here, and here). But, then I realized...there's no realizing creativity needs to complicated. It's just a matter of sharing something that someone else might not have thought of before.

So with that I give you the easiest DIY ornament "tutorial" of all time.



Step 1: Buy a Christmas tree.

Step 2: Saw and extra chunk off the trunk.

Step 3: Write the date and "Baby's First Christmas" on it.

Step 4: Go have some hot cocoa, because you saved so much time by not crafting something complex.


The end.

*Note: you could also just make one of these from every Christmas tree you get each year. Just sayin.

    Cute! This almost makes me wish we weren't faux tree people since this Christmas is our first Christmas as an official Mr. and Mrs.!

    SO cute and simple...too bad Chris doesn't own a saw. ;)
    PS: You could totally put her handprint on the back of it...she'll love measuring her hannd against it every year when you pull out the ornaments to decorate the tree...because you'll be decorating your tree...with more than just lights. This is a start! ;)

    That is adorable!! I am ALL for easy! I mean, we do have lives and everything being busy with our adorable kiddos! I'd rather savor the time than have ten kazillion complicated projects done.
