Monday I had my first styling gig
since Fern was born.
It was a shoot for local jewelry designer Seaworthy
(You must check out creator Marisa's lovely designs!)
and I felt really good about the job I did with props and wardrobe.
It was hard being away from Fern for those hours, but it felt so great to express myself creatively again and feed a non-mommy part of myself. As much as I love being a mom to Fern, I still want to maintain my sense of self and my interests and this was a good start.
Hope you have a lovely day!

awesome - it looks amazing! and good for you for feeding your creative side and doing something for yourself :) I can imagine it was hard to be away from your little girl!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, good job Lauren!
ReplyDeleteI love the work:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Lauren!!! I'll hire you any day!! XO!
ReplyDeleteI just looked at her shop. Her jewelry is gorgeous! How was the first day working? When I started going back to work (you know...for those two weeks that I worked) it took forever to get out the door. There was just so much preparing for Pearl that I had to do. I got up at 5am in order to leave by 7:30!
ReplyDeleteI love it! You did an amazing job.
ReplyDeleteYou did SUCH an amazing job! I know how you feel about spending time away from your munchkin, it never get easier!! BUT, it is amazing to get some "just mommy" time :-)
ReplyDeleteLauren, you are so talented and a pleasure to work with. You have a great energy and ease! Thanks for breaking away to work on our project. I hope we can do it again!
