fill in the blank friday.

Made a snazzy new photo for the blanks this week.
....you're welcome ;).

We're having a bit of a heat wave in Oregon this week, so this weeks blanks are inspired by summer and hot days! Enjoy!



1.  The best thing to do on a hot day is   to stay inside somewhere cool if it's really that hot. If it's only kind of hot, then being outside near water and eating ice cream would be the perfect way to spend a day  .

2.   The best place to be on a hot day is   somewhere cool! I am not a fan of super hot weather    .


3.  The best thing to eat on a hot day is    cold fruit...or even better a cold fruity cocktail...or an alcoholic version of a slurpee...do they make those?  .


4. Hot days     make me grumpy, because I'm not used to them. We only get a few random weeks of super hot weather every year so no one ever acclimates .

5. My go to uniform on a warm summer day is  a cotton skirt a tank top and sandals... and a pair of stud earrings...always stud earrings .

6. The scent that reminds me of summer is  coconut suntan oil   .

7.  My favorite thing about summer is   the long lazy evenings spent with friends and family   .

    I'd say the adult version of a slurpee would be like a frozen margarita. :) I'm counting down the days til fall! Have a good weekend!

    They do make these frozen alcoholic slushees called Daily's. They're like Capri Sun bags for adults. I've never had them, but The Lawyer was talking about how he should make an alcoholic Capri Sun for grown-ups and then I saw Daily's in the grocery store and was all, "Nooo! Someone beat us to it!" I guess I have to pay back my med. school loans the old fashioned way, now that we're not going to be rich from the frozen alcoholic slushee idea. :/

    LA is just getting over a heatwave as well and it's been pretty terrible. Our cats now come running if they hear the sound of the ice cube tray cracking!
