outfit post: 26 weeks pregnant.

Pregnancy is weird.

It's kind of like being a Transformer and like having your body hijacked.  I know it will all be worth it when our baby girl arrives, but until then, I'm kind of weirded out by my changing body.  BUT, even though I may be feeling less-than-attractive these days I'm still not going to break out the sweatpants just yet (not promising they won't come out in the final weeks though...).  The only thing that boosts my self-esteem these days is a cute outfit and some pretty lipstick.  I'm pretty sure lipstick is an anti-depressant.  It's science.  I'm sure one day I'll realize that this was silly and that I was being a bit melodramatic, but for now, this is just part of life.  *Sigh*.  Good thing I love this little girl so much already.  She's totally worth it all :).

Here is how I dressed my 26 week bump for the last week of it's second-trimester:

shirt: Gap (men's)
jeans: Old Navy (maternity)
belt: F21
scarf: H&M
ballet flats: H&M
bracelets: Maasai Market in Kenya & gift from Mexico
watch: Army Surplus
earrings: c/o Sonho

Thanks for listening to me vent about my pregnancy body image issues.  I'm sure this too shall pass :).

  9. So cute! I adore those ballet flats! I will have to make a trip to H&M and see if I can find some for myself. Are they comfy?

  10. Pregnancy is weird! I could barely read pregnancy books because I was so freaked out by all the crazy things our bodies can and DO endure during pregnancy! But you're right: it's entirely worth it, and you look simply sensational to boot!

  12. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: you look adorable! I like what Sarah says - your bump is an accessory - and it's really cute (and I'm sure the little girl inside is just beaming that you're dressing her so well already!).

  17. Gosh! I'm only at week 13 in my pregnancy, but for the past 8-9 weeks It's been a totally weird experience! Eyes, Nose, Fingers and Toes all growing inside your own body. Too, we have NO control! I agree though, a little lipstick and a cute outfit{once you find one} make all things better!
    {note- good thing we have people like Echo around. With all her wisdom and love about the whole process! ... She passed along your blog...}

    Cheers to you and your little girl!
    xoxo
