But, I generally stick to posting photos that are in pretty light and that have at least some element of composition to them. My photos are usually semi-staged, since I figure no one wants to see 20 pictures of Fern crawling away from me in a blur on our ugly carpet.
This photo is terrible from a photography standpoint. It's blurry and the light is ugly and yellow and I look like I haven't slept in a week with no makeup on, but I still love it.
I love it, because I captured it during a rare snuggly moment with Fern. She is absolutely NOT a snuggler, but lately whenever we're playing and I lay down in her teepee she can't resist crawling over and climbing on top of me to plaster me with sloppy baby kisses and it's just about the cutest thing ever and it fills my heart with joy.
And you know what? Moments like these, no matter how "unphotogenic" they may be are the best ones and the ones worth capturing, because they show that you were so busy living life that you didn't have time to stop and stage it. Even though this picture is total crap quality, I know it's one I will look back at and remember fondly.
So...advice for the day? Stop staging your life and start living it! Take photos of the real moments when you can, because those ones will be the best ones, filled with life and love.
Of course I'll still be staging some photos, but I won't forget to snap ones like this too...my absolute favorites.
Hope you have a lovely day!
