This week has been a bit crazy.
In the midst of preparing to take Fern on a plane for the first time this Friday, Fern is starting to become more mobile. No official "crawling" yet, but a little bit - and LOTS of rolling. Which means a lot more vigilance on my part.
In addition to getting into everything, Fern has come down with her first real cold and she's been miserable and fussy and hasn't really let me put her down for days. It's been rough.
The good news is that it gave me an excuse to roast a chicken for the bone broth. Apparently it's really good for you and is a good immunity booster.
Apparently having a baby has turned me into a bit of a hippie. Gone are the days when I'd pop an Advil and down some Nyquil. These days Whole Foods is my pharmacy and it's all tinctures and bone broth and natural-ness. Oh...and I'm pretty sure I reached the pinnacle of hippiedom while making this bone broth, because I had to touch actual chicken feet to make it. Apparently the feet have the really good stuff. I almost threw up, but it's the price you pay for being a hippie I guess. Hopefully Fern will appreciate her broth!
Hope you all have a good weekend and wish me luck on our flight!
P.S. Fill in the Blank Friday will be up tonight!
