outfit post: summer sun and eyelets.

I've received a lot of feedback that you guys missed my outfit posts.

Well, the reason for the lack of them was "first trimester bloat" and it's real....oh it's real.  Apparently nobody felt it useful to tell me about this pregnancy menace, but it can totally make you feel like a fatty.  Despite having not gained any weight yet, all of the clothes in my closet have seemed to be tugging and pulling in weird ways (thanks slowed down digestive system and giant grapefruit sized uterus!).  But, I was feeling cute in this outfit, so I decided to recruit my mom snap some photos.  I've officially decided that little shift dresses are great for this stage of pregnancy.

If you want to read about some of my other wardrobe suggestions to combat first trimester bloat, or really just any bloat (think PMS or post-Thanksgiving feasting), feel free to check out my post on it over at Babble {here}.

dress: Old Navy

  13. I've absolutely been there! It's frustrating because you're nowhere near being able to wear maternity, but you don't feel great in your own clothes. It does pass eventually, but dresses seem to be a great way to manage this in-between stage.

  16. Those shoes are super cute! I think I imagine feeling fatter permanently the moment I would find out that I'm preggers. Not excited for that, but I guess it's worth it in the end.
